Richard Hess![]() Richard S. Hess is married, the father of three children, and the grandfather of five wonderful grandkids. He is Earl S. Kalland Professor of Old Testament and Semitic Languages at Denver Seminary. He presently edits the Bulletin for Biblical Research and the Bulletin’s Supplement Series, and co-edits the Septuagint Commentary Series. He also edits the Denver Journal: An Online Review of Current Biblical and Theological Studies. Hess is a member of the New International Version’s Committee on Bible Translation. He has authored six books, co-authored three volumes, and edited two dozen books. Hess has published more than a hundred peer reviewed and scholarly articles, and is presently working on an Old Testament survey.
