Sean W. Dever Memorial PrizeThe William F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research is pleased to announce the sixth annual Sean W. Dever Memorial Prize competition. This prize was established in 2001 by Professor William G. Dever and Mrs. Norma Dever in memory of their son Sean. It offers $500 for the best published article or paper presented at a conference by a Ph.D. candidate in Syro-Palestinian or Biblical Archaeology. Authors may be of any nationality, but the articles or papers must be in English. All submissions must include the academic affiliation of the author and her/his mailing and email addresses, and fax and phone numbers. Submission of conference papers must include the name of the conference and the date on which the paper was presented. Submission of published articles must include full bibliographic information. Papers must be submitted in hard copy; no electronic submissions will be accepted. All submissions must be received by December 31, 2006. His paper entitled Anklets and the Construction of Gender and Age in the Late Bronze and Early Iron Age Southern Levant was presented at the 2005 Annual Meetings of the American Schools of Oriental Research. Previous winners (and their graduate school affiliations) are Edward F. Maher, Department of Anthropology, University of Illinois, Chicago; Juan Manuel Tebes, School of Philosophy and Linguistics, University of Buenos Aires; Christine M.
